For reasons beyond our control, we regret to inform you that the event Dissections: Eva & Franco Mattes is cancelled and will be postponed at a later date. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you very much for your understanding.
Dissections is an event series presented as part of the Department of Education and Public Engagement’s programming. With Dissections, we aim to generate interdisciplinary dialogue and foster a renewed engagement with contemporary art.
As part of Dissections: Eva & Franco Mattes, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Sarah T. Roberts for a lecture on commercial content moderation on social networks. Dr. Roberts has been involved in Eva and Franco Mattes’s research process for Dark Content, a work currently presented at the Fondation. Dark Content examines the effects content moderation has had on a workforce that has been rendered largely invisible by social media conglomerates.
The event will begin at 7 PM. We invite you to tour the exhibition Eva and Franco Mattes: What Has Been Seen prior to the event.
This lecture will be offered in English, followed by a Q&A in French and English. Whisper translation is available upon request. No reservations required.
