Kino Klub: Come and See!

DHC/ART Education is pleased to launch Kino Klub, a summer series of film projections in conjunction with Jake and Dinos Chapman’s exhibition Come and See.

In the Chapman brothers’ œuvre, movies often appear as universal symbols, as an artistic practice to transgress, as a field of references to exploit. Throughout their work, cinema becomes a locus of discursive potentialities; the site of constant clashes between document and fiction, high and low culture, horror and the banal, reason and emotion.

It is in this spirit that we invite you to our REFERENCE room (451 St-Jean) on five Thursday evenings throughout the summer for the screening of a movie selected by one of DHC/ART’s educators. Before the screening, we will host a conversation with a guest presenter about the movie and its links to the exhibition. The event is free of charge.

Inaugural projection: Super Size Me (EN) by Morgan Spurlock (2004)

Invited guest: Roxanne Arsenault (PhD student in architecture, Université de Montréal).
